Genre: Greek Mythology/Historical Fiction

I LOVE Greek Mythology, went through a whole phase where I was obsessed, tried to research all of the Gods & Goddesses, the heroes, and all of their stories but there are SO MANY. That being said, I love a good Greek Mythology book that is well written, follows a path of the mythology but fills in the blanks with the author's own voice they have given to the characters. This book 100% did that for me. Costanza gives Clytemnestra, who some would say is an anti-hero type figure, a beautiful voice. In this re-telling, she is a strong woman and mother who would do anything for her family, some of those things may be a bit grey but if you have ever researched Clytemnestra, you would see that she was put in some tricky spots and we're all just trying to do our best, her included.

The quote that gave me goosebumps, “As for queens, they are either hated or forgotten. She already knows which option suits her better. Let her be hated forever.”

I gave this book a 5/5 based on me being willing to recommend it to others and re-read, 100%.
